Pebble Easter Eggs - Tape Resist Art for Kids

Looking for a simple Easter activity for all ages? These Easter Pebble Eggs are lots of fun to make & a great way to explore God's never-ending love.

To make our Pebble Easter Eggs you'll need:
  • Selection of colourful Paints (the brighter the better)
  • Pebbles
  • Paintbrushes
  • Washi tape or masking tape
  • Newspaper or an old sheet
  • Old clothes or an apron

Start by covering any surfaces with an old newspaper or sheet as this activity could get a little messy.

Cut two small sections of the tape to create a cross shape on the pebble. Make sure the tape is really secure & there are no gaps. Place the pebble in the centre of your covered area.

Here comes the fun...

Using the paintbrushes, splat or flick the paint over the pebble & the tape. Keep adding the different coloured paints until the entire pebble is covered.

Leave to dry & then carefully remove the tape to reveal the 'surprise'.

These Easter Pebble Eggs remind us that nothing can ever hide God's love from us. His love remains the same no matter what life throws at us. Whatever we go through, good or bad, messy or difficult, God's love is always there, even when we can't see it, He is always with us.

These Pebble Easter Eggs would be great for an Easter Egg Hunt in your garden, or you could leave them around your neighbourhood for people to find as an Easter gift.
