Pentecost Peace Candle - Printable

Celebrate Pentecost with this printable candle craft & discover how to say 'Peace' in many other languages. An ideal activity for kids' clubs, school visits, or a creative prayer activity for All Age Worship.

A few years back, I created a similar candle which displayed "hello" in various languages, which you can find here: Pentecost Candle. But this year I've created a new design featuring the word 'peace' in 21 different languages for children (& adults) to explore as they colour in their candle.

This Candle not only reminds us of the light of Christ, but also the Holy Spirit bringing tongues of fire, enabling the disciples to speak in many languages so they could share the good news with everyone around them. What a great opportunity to invite children to learn & share 'Peace' in many languages, while also reminding them that the church family stretches far & wide around the world.

To make your Pentecost Candle, simply download your Printable here. It's super simple to make, all you need are scissors, a glue stick & some colouring pens/pencils. For best results, print on white paper or thin card.

When you've made your Paper Pentecost Candle, you could...

:: Make your Pentecost Candle 'shine' by placing a battery tealight at the base. Watch how all the words glow in the dark.

:: Hold the candle in your hands & pray for your friends & family far & near. Pray for those in your church & churches around the world.

:: Take a look at a world map & find each of the countries featured on the candle.

:: Stand it somewhere in your house to remind you to shine Jesus's light wherever you go.

:: Learn to say 'Peace' in six more languages not featured on the candle.

Whether you make these candles with your family, school or church, I hope they shine bright for all to see. As the text on the back of the candle says, "Shine your light brightly this Pentecost and always."
