Simple Homemade No Cook Play Dough

Whatever the weather, we love playdough! It's great for indoor or outdoor play and can be adapted to suit your child's particular interests. I love this simple, non-cook recipe, which is quick to make and leaves you with no sticky saucepans to wash up after you've made it!

You will need:

2 cups of plain flour
1 cup of salt
4 tsp of cream of tartar
2 tbsp of oil
1-2 cups of boiling water
Food colouring optional
Scent optional

Method:

:: Mix the flour, salt, & cream of tartar together in a large mixing bowl
::Add the oil & mix with the dry ingredients.
:: If you're adding food colouring add a few drops to your hot (boiling) water.
:: Pour the hot water into the bowl & mix vigorously until a smooth dough is formed. Leave to cool
:: Tip out onto a clean non-porous surface & knead the dough well with your hands.
:: Leave to cool & then store in an airtight container.

Super simple to make & will last for weeks if stored well.
