I can make (& sing) a Rainbow!

We've been having fun in the sun! Yesterday Minnie found our hosepipe & did a little experimenting with water. This was only a brief activity as we didn't want to waste too much water, although the grass
appreciated it! ;-)

Exploring texture & water flow

Movement

Patterns

Distance & time (how far the water travelled)

Enjoying running away from the water & under it!

And then Minnie discovered what makes a rainbow!

So much fun!

Sometimes few words are needed, the pictures say it all!

Minnie loves the song "I Can Sing a Rainbow" so we sang this as we explored our homemade rainbow, & looked for the colours as we did so.

"I Can Sing a Rainbow"
Red and yellow and pink and green
Purple and orange and blue
I can sing a rainbow,
sing a rainbow,
sing a rainbow too.

Listen with your eyes,
Listen with your ears,
and sing everything you see,
I can sing a rainbow,
sing a rainbow,
sing along with me.

Red and yellow and pink and green,
Purple and orange and blue,
I can sing a rainbow,
sing a rainbow,
sing a rainbow too!
( Arthur Hamilton)

So many areas of learning were explored in this simple activity & so many giggles shared!
