Five Currant Buns in the Baker's Shop

Check out these yummy currant buns! We made these tasty treats using scraps of card which we laminated, before adding numbers 1-5 on the back. We then found a 'baker's' basket, lined it with a gingham napkin & added our currant buns.

Voila! A simple song illustration which Minnie
has been playing with all day! :o)

"Five currant buns in the baker's shop
Big and round with a cherry on the top
Along came Minnie with a penny one day
Bought a currant bun & took it away!"

Baker Bear optional ;o)

  1. I love this activity! So simple and sweet. It is a good idea to "illustrate" nuresry rhymes this way.
